GOTSAINTS.COM - Looks at the Crescent City Connection

by: Paul Williams(live-PR.com) - The Crescent City Connection is a term coined by GOTSAINTS.COM to give a name to the explosive, score at will, high powered New Orleans Saints offense.
Leading the CCC is one of the NFL’s premier quarterbacks, Drew Brees. After coming off shoulder surgery in 2006, Brees led the Saints through a magical season in which he set a career record in passing yards (4418) bringing the Saints within one game of the Super Bowl. 2007 was even better for Brees. He surpassed his 2006 record in passing yards with 4423, and setting a new career TD record with 28. 2008 looks to be even brighter for Brees as his core offensive returns for another run.
The running back tandem of Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush gave the CCC a powerful one-two punch in 2006. Though both players were sidelined due to injuries in 2007, both will be raring to go for the 2008 campaign. 2007 brought a new addition to the CCC in running back Pierre Thomas. Thomas was on the practice squad in 2007, but when Bush and McAllister were injured, he stepped in and set a team record with 100+ yards both rushing and receiving. He will get more reps this season.
The CCC’s star wide receiver was a rookie in 2006. Marques Colston, 7th round pick from Hofstra, 1202 yards and 11 TDs in 2006, and would have been selected rookie of the year if he had not injured his ankle. In 2007, Colston picked up where he left off and had over 1000 yards but missed to games due to a knee injury. He will be ready to go this season and hopes to have yet another 1000 yard year.
The CCC will see a new face this year in wide receiver Robert Meachem. Meachem, picked in the first round of the draft in 2007, sat out all year after having knee surgery and learning the Saints’ playbook. Coaches have been impressed so far in mini-camps and Meachem will get some playing time this year.
Though injury plagued in 2007, the Crescent City Connection looks to rebound and showcase their offensive superiority this season. It will be SUper Bowl or bust. Either way, this will be a great season to be a Saints fan!

SATURDAY APRIL 26TH 2008. GOTSAINTS.COM AND FLEUR D LICIOUS WILL BE AT WWL’S DRAFT FEST!
When: April 26th 2008
Where: New Orleans Saints Training Facility on Airline.
Time: Party starts at 9AM
Last years boil was a blast but this years will be like no other. Everyone is invited.
We will have Crawfish, Beer, Music, and Fleur-D-Licious.
Hardcore Who Dats!
Its that time of year again. The NFL draft is fast approaching and you know what that means!
Its time for our annual Boil at the Saints facility for Draft Fest. This year we plan to have a way larger crowd then last year. We will be boiling
200 pounds of Crawfish in the parking lot.
Party start at 9AM. We will have Crawfish, Beer, Music (LOUD), Girls, and of course Fleur D. We will also be raffling off a AUTHENTIC LSU
BCS Glenn Dorsey Jersey at the Fest. Tickets are 2 dollars each, 3 for 5, 15 for 10, or 20 for 20. With the purchase of tickets you get to eat
all the Crawfish you want. (So dont be cheap it goes to our tailgating crew)
